Here's one I wrote on the bus ride from Amsterdam to Paris during my 'Euro Trash 2004' tour. It's about an Australian guy I met in Edinburgh. Written April 16, 2004.

Funny how everyone (myself included) expects Euro-trips to be some self discovery laden rite of passage....maybe to the 19 year olds with patchouli stank. In my experience, only in retrospect do you see the value of travel--you get to be anonymous for months at a time and your only responsibility is to see as much as possible and catch the right train.
If I had to do it over again, I would take more pictures, worry less and try conversations in broken 'foreign language' more.
